Support Our Mission by Making a Donation
SPONSOR A FAMILY
At Make It Your Home, we believe a house should be more than four walls — it should feel safe, welcoming, and truly like home. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to helping individuals and families in need by creating warm, comfortable, and fully furnished living spaces at no cost.
Our mission is rooted in compassion and sustainability:
We support survivors of domestic abuse as they rebuild their lives.
We serve young military families and immigrants starting over.
We help those transitioning out of homelessness who often have little to nothing.
Founded by JSerra High School senior Eya Kane, Make It Your Home repurposes donated furniture and décor to transform empty spaces into homes that inspire dignity, healing, and stability. Every piece we provide is eco-conscious, completely free, and thoughtfully designed to meet each family’s needs.
Donate Furniture & Décor
We gratefully accept gently used furniture, home décor, and household items to help create welcoming, functional spaces for families in need.
We especially appreciate essentials such as:
· Sofas, dressers, and nightstands
· Dining tables and chairs
· Lamps, rugs, and artwork
· Linens, kitchenware, and small décor
To donate, please send photos of your items to donate@makeityourhome.org so our team can review and arrange pickup or drop-off.
We gratefully accept gently used furniture, home décor, and household items to help create warm, welcoming homes for families in need. To ensure we can safely store and transport donations, we are currently unable to accept old oak furniture or glass furniture. Thank you for helping us make a house feel like home.
WAREHOUSE NEEDED!
As our nonprofit continues to grow, we are looking for a donated warehouse space of up to 2,000 sq. ft. in Orange County. This space would allow us to store furniture and household items for families transitioning into permanent housing. If you or your company has available warehouse space and would like to partner with us, we'd love to hear from you. Your generosity would have a lasting impact on families rebuilding their lives.
